At the Twin Cities Ripple Foundation we provide people with a variety of different volunteer experiences at numerous locations. Volunteering is one of the best ways to learn about an organization and the type of services they provide.

Our volunteer events are open to everyone and enable you to meet new people who also desire to make a ripple in the Twin Cities. Please see below for the list of organizations that we have volunteered at in the past.

Metro Hope Ministries is a Christ-centered addiction recovery ministry serving our 5-state area

Urban Homeworks
The core purpose of Urban Homeworks is to perpetuate the hope of Jesus Christ through the strategic placement of Urban Neighbors, dignified housing for low-income families, volunteer mobilization, and construction training for community members.

Sharing and Caring Hands
Sharing and Caring Hands was established to be a bridge from the caring concerned community to the people in need of their help. We receive no government or United Way funding and rely solely on donations to do our work. Every year, the donations of goods, services, time, and money by thousands of people allow Sharing and Caring Hands to make a difference in the lives of individuals, families, and children in need.

Simpson Housing Shelter
To provide free shelter and affordable housing with support services to homeless men, women and children.To assist individuals and families in their effort to improve their life situations and to advocate for their human and civil rights.

The Bridge for Youth
Our Mission:To ensure a safe and enriching environment for youth in crisis by providing shelter, building life skills, and assisting families in conflict. [www.bridgeforyouth.org]

Union Gospel Mission of the Twin Cities
The Union Gospel Mission is a Christian service agency that works to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual and educational needs of the economically disadvantaged men, women and children of the Twin Cities.

La Oportunidad

La Oportunidad, Inc. has been a leader in the Twin Cities for eighteen years, striving to eliminate violence by empowering individuals to develop peaceful relationships with themselves, their families, and their communities.

Tubman Family Alliance

We believe that violence is a learned behavior and that violence can be unlearned. Tubman seeks to offer the widest range of choices to the men and women we serve and to use creative strategies to help people build violence-free lives.

 

Secure Waiting Place

A division of Catholic Charities that provides emergency shelter for men with no permanent housing referred by counties, police, or other shelters.

People Serving People

People Serving People provides education, social and life skill programs to all residents in need. In addition, we can house over 350 individuals and provide up to 1,000 meals every day.

Kaleidoscope Kids

Kaleidoscope provides a safe place for children in the Phillips Neighborhood of Minneapolis to meet friends and participate in fun activities during the out of school time.

 

Marie Sandvik Center

The Marie Sandvik Center is a Christian based 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization providing for the material and spiritual needs of the poor living in the inner city.

 

Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches

The GMCC operates a family of social service programs and recruits support across denominational lines to help Minnesota families living in poverty.  We unite people of faith to serve people in need.

 

Midtown Greenway Coalition

Our tag line is "Neighborhoods for a Great Greenway." The boiled down version of our mission statement is: 'to facilitate community involvement in developing and continually improving of the Midtown Greenway.' We are the voice for the community working to maximize the benefits of the Midtown Greenway to our neighborhoods.

Minnesota Council of Churches

The Minnesota Council of Churches manifests the unity of the body of Christ and builds the common good in the world in partnership with 24 member mainline Protestant, historical Black, and Orthodox judicatories.
